Zubed Geospatial delivers turnkey, bespoke, web-based mapping solutions for private and public sector organisations that want to identify geographical patterns in their data, or provide a user friendly map-based interface to their products or services.
I have responsibility for the definition and marketing of the Zubed Location Intelligence Web-GIS toolset and applications.
Applying geomapping and advanced search techniques, employing federated and Semantic search technologies, Zubed powered applications are making a significant impact in the fields of recruitment, sales and the visualisation, and analysis, of data for many public and private sector organisations.

Connexion2 is the UK's leading supplier of lone worker security products. The company's award-winning Identicom GSM phone based products enable vulnerable staff to summon help in case of abuse or attack.
Successfully brought to market two new products for the Identicom range, incorporating GSM and Bluetooth technologies. Following justification to the board of directors, I fully specified both products, managed the development and established optimum market positioning.
Created detailed specifications for the incorporation of new technologies, following a thorough assessment of the market, technology, and suitable partners and paying greatest attention to how customers would interact with the new functionality.

Visto, based in California, provides mobile email services to network operators worldwide, including Vodafone Group in Europe. Visto Mobile supports all of the leading handset operating systems.
Succeeded in creating a positive European identity for Visto and for Visto Mobile, on introduction to the European market. My market research projects and carefully constructed positioning initially targeted European analysts and media.
Developed and implemented marketing projects across EMEA, for Visto Mobile, to support local commercial endeavours. Working with local staff and agencies, and liaising closely with regional operator and handset partners, I achieved strong positive responses against very tight deadlines.

I held senior posts in Psion Dacom, Europe's leading supplier of PC Card modems and laptop communication accessories, and Psion Software, working on the Transcend Mail mobile email solution.
Instrumental in defining the Transcend Mail mobile push email solution. After managing the market research projects, I created all product requirement documentation and positioning.
Research, analysis and formulation of numerous candidate business plans for Psion together with the board of directors. This resulted in the establishment of the new Psion Software division.
Tracking and analysing wireless market and technology developments, I was a key advisor to the CTO and board of Psion Dacom and Psion Group, and an active industry spokesperson.

Thorn Security was one of the UK's largest suppliers of commercial and industrial fire protection and intruder security systems. Thorn also developed specialised solutions for hazardous environments.
Managed a multi-disciplinary team of developers responsible for the design and development of fire detection products in accordance with strict International standards. I was actively involved in all aspects of these product developments, from electronics and software, to mechanics and testing.
Secured two patents in my name, regarding the operation of an innovative flame detector for use in hazardous environments. For this product I designed the electronics and wrote the embedded software, taking it through to full production.

MCCS was a military electronic system developer, running a number of very large scale projects in missile guidance and fire control.
Led the design team of hardware and software engineers responsible for developing a major digital subsystem of a missile guidance product, comprising 11 complex circuit cards. The subsystem exceeded the specified accuracy when assessed by the MOD and the prime contractor.
