I served from 2001 through 2004 on the global Board of Directors of the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals (ASAP) as vice chairman of the board responsible for strategic planning. I founded the Silicon Valley Chapter of ASAP in March 2000 and served as the Chapter president through September 2001.

In 2008, I was appointed to a two-year term on the Capital Area Workforce Development Board serving Wake and Johnston counties in North Carolina.
