Senior technical-scientific profile.
After a bioengineering Ph.D., I worked seven years as software developer on different software platforms (C++, Labview, VB, HTML, SQL,...) and in various environments (automation, telecommunications, telemedicine, remote management, networking). During this period I was technical chief in several R&D projects, some of wich finanzed by EU and ESA.
Since more than five years I cover the role of strategic marketing and applied research specialist in Aethra, a company leader in international videocommunications market. This actual position allows a continuous training on new ICT technologies, and a continuous contact with scientifical and technological ICT community.

Ph. D., Bioengineering, 1992 — 1995
The title of the Ph. D. Thesis was: "Models of the Aortic Input Impedance and Estimation of Arterial Compliance". The aim of the Ph. D. research was a critical analysis of methods for the evaluation of total arterial compliance, based on the estimation of parameters of models of various complexity. Particular attention was paid to models used in clinics. The research was developed in collaboration with the Dept. of Veterinary and Comparative Anatomy, Pharmacology and Physiology, Washington State University, Pullman WA, and with the Cardiology Section, Dept. of Medicine, University of Chicago, Medical Centre, Chicago, IL.
Dr. Eng., Ingegneria Elettronica, 1986 — 1992
The Degree Thesis was entitled "Analysis of the descending arm of systemic arterial tree, performed using an hydraulic visco-elastic line, loaded on a complex impedance".

Writing novels is more than a hobby when some results come. As Paolo Agaraff (a group pseudonym that comprehends Alessandro Papini and Gabriele Falcioni), I have published two romances with the Italian editor Pequod, and several novels with other editors. With my name I have published RPG adventures (Nexus Editrice) and some short novels.
