Patrick Jermann’s Summary

During my master degree in educational technologies in 1996 at TECFA (University of Geneva) I contributed to the development of innovative Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) scripts in a virtual campus .

I then worked for three years as a Reserach Associate at the University of Pittsburgh in the Learning Research and Development Center (LRDC). There I designed and developed environments dedicated to online lesson planning for the Institute for Learning.

In 2003, I joined the CRAFT team where I am responsible for the coordination of eLearning projects at EPFL (Swiss Institute of Technology, Lausanne).

I currently lead a research project about how to support students' abstraction skills through a tangible augmented simulation (http://dualt.epfl.ch/page62923.html).
