First based in Luxembourg contacting potential distribution, professional asset and portfolio managers. Implemented the strategy country by country, making sure the name was well supported by sales staff and local offices before proceeding to next. During the last 2 years based in London making sure resources were allocated accordingly. During the 4 years with the company, Threadneedle business grew from Zero to more than £2 000 000 with a second position under the foreign providers in Countries like Austria and Germany, business flowing from 8 different Continental countries.

Formulation and execution of the market entrance to Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and partly Switzerland for the Luxembourg based Mutual funds of Mercury Asset Management. Opened the Frankfurt office to handle the growing demand for investment products, press contacts, distribution, literature and handling of the infrastructure, recruiting people, positioning the product, educating the market and establishing the Mercury name without direct private client distribution. Business was profitable within 18 months. During the 3 years with MAM staff grew from 1 to 5, business grew from 0 to more than US$500mio being among the top 5 foreign providers of mutual funds in the area.
