Stephen Wilcox’s Summary
Stephen took a series of management roles before joining the Internet industry with U-NET in 1998, there he rose into senior management as the company was acquired by Via Networks Inc before moving as operations manager to Opal Telecom where he built their IP network to support the Breathe platform (later this would become Talktalk) and later developed a commercial proposal which became the IP business diviision. During this time he picked up an honours degree, CCNP, CCIE certifications and several other professional qualifications.
In 2002 he became a founding director of Telecomplete where he entirely developed the business plan and successfully established a multimillion pound turnover company, he remains there as Technical Director, he is also a non-executive director or LINX – the worlds second largest Internet hub, an Internet Watch Foundation funding council member and a well known and active contributor to numerous Internet groups, conferences and research projects.
