My practice at EFF is focused on cutting edge copyright and trademark disputes that include a public interest dimension. Representative litigation matters have included MGM v. Grokster, decided by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2005 and JibJab Media in connection with their "This Land" animated parody. My practice also involves public advocacy on a range of intellectual property issues, including fair use, the DMCA, and digital rights management (DRM). Regulatory matters include FCC proceedings relating DRM mandates on digital television and digital radio formats.
