Contract Technical Writer at Lockheed Martin, Simulation, Training, and Support and President of Write Way Designs, Inc.
Orlando, Florida Area
I hold a BA in English/Technical Communication and have been in the technical writing and editing field for the greater part of two decades.
I am skilled in writing and designing end-user software manuals, online help, Web content, Web help, training guides, installation guides, white papers, proposals, presentations, and reports using Adobe Creative Suite including FrameMaker, Acrobat, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, and Fireworks, HTML, XML, DHTML, CSS, and Javascript, and Microsoft Office Professional. In addition to technical prowess, I am an excellent communicator, writer, designer, and leader.
I have worked on small, medium, and enterprise-wide projects as a writer, editor, designer, software tester, and documentation supervisor. I am creative and fully conversant with many development and communications methodologies and understand the need to weigh process against productivity. I foster inter-team communications and help enable my team and project to succeed.
My goal is to work full-time with good and productive teams on interesting and engaging projects as a Communications, Technical Publications, or Documentation Director or Manager, or Senior Technical Writer, Instructional Designer, Copy Writer, Editor, Web Author, or Business Analyst. I greatly enjoy helping teams succeed in meeting their deadlines for deliverables.
I am also available for part-time communications, editorial, and design work through my freelance business, Write Way Designs, Inc. at http://www.writewaydesigns.com.

"For 9 years at The Fund, I used Susana's skills and expertise as a Senior Technical Writer in day to day issues, & as a Project Team Member/Technical Publications Supervisor for projects, CMMI, and ITIL implementations. She proofread, edited and wrote accurate documentation and provided timely illustrations for manuals, posters, project status announcements and newsletters. She was also very active in the corporate fund raisers, annual employee team building activities and off-site trade shows, creating a variety of just-in-time customer flyers, displays, and documentation. She is a wonderful employee, dedicated to getting the job done. She is resourceful, hard working, creative, and a quick learner on new technologies. She's artistic, and produced illustrations without any direction upon request. She also freelanced at Write Way Designs for website design and I was very pleased with her work.
