Product Ninja for Facebook.com, focusing on developing our e-commerce strategy. I design and build really amazing things with an amazing team. Recently launched Facebook Marketplace, Facebook's entry into the classifieds market. Prior to that, I launched virtual gifts, Facebook's first foray into consumer facing e-commerce. And just before that, I built Facebook's friend finder and contact importer, a major growth driver.
Before joining Facebook, I was the co-founder of Yub.com (formerly Metails.com) which was the first company to outline the intersection of social networking and e-commerce by allowing users to build profiles out of the products they liked. In this role, I defined and executed the business model, including filing several key provisional patents, assembling the team, building the core technology, and negotiating the sale of the world's first social shopping engine and virtual mall. The company was acquired in September 2004 by Buy.com and her name changed from Metails.com to Yub.com. Responsible for overall strategy, UI design, product development, and coding when there is time.
