  • Founder and CEO

    TBD, Inc (Sole Proprietorship)

(Sole Proprietorship; Myself Only; Computer Software industry)

    October 2004July 2005 (10 months)

I left Verticalnet, so that I could embark on a quest for the next great thing I could throw myself into. Instead of starting from scratch, like we did with Atlas, I set out to find a fledgling startup with the right stuff to become a great company. I screened over a hundred businesses, met with over 100 VC contacts and invested a lot of energy evaluating several interesting opportunities. I was introduced to SkillSurvey by three different people during this process. SkillSurvey had what I thought was a GREAT niche product, some marquee customers and amazing potential. However, there were a lot of financial challenges, team issues and a lack of focus and momentum. I validated the market potential with a lot of research, worked with the founders to figure out a way to fix the problems and jumped in. Which signaled the end of TBD, Inc.
