Job Description

The ActionScript team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated software engineer to optimize just-in-time compiler performance for the next-generation Adobe Flash Player. The successful candidate will be fluent in modern dynamic code generation and optimization techniques.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities are to optimize the intermediate representation of dynamically generated code to execute optimally across a broad range of computers, phones, and devices. This work will entail implementing traditional run-time optimizations as well as developing new techniques and optimizations in collaboration with Adobe researchers and the ActionScript product team. Knowledge of current state-of-the-art optimization techniques will be required. Prior experience developing a managed run-time and working on resource-constrained devices are both considered a plus.

Requirements

Highly motivated, works well in a fast-paced collaborative development team. Strong communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to work with geographically remote team members.

B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent. Masters preferred.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience developing complex software systems. Significant experience in delivering commercial quality software or academia is advantageous.

Knowledge of ActionScript/Javascript and Flash is beneficial.
