Job description

The Human Resource Generalist, will act as a strategic Human Resource Business Partner whose primary focus is to assist the Human Resource Director in providing and delivering Operational Excellence through skilled HR practices in employee relations, compensation, benefits, recruiting, new hire orientation, interpretation of company policies, recruiting and retention efforts.

Desired Skills and Experience

–        Participate in employee relations issues while coaching managers on employee relations applicable laws, policies and skills necessary for employee relations effectiveness

–        Organize and lead the new hire orientation / on boarding process for designated business groups.  

–        Assist in the recruitment of personnel (administration, inspectors, laboratory, etc) for multiple locations.

–        Assist in the establishment of a reporting mechanism for exit interview data, including conducting exit interviews as necessary

–        Monitor the turnover statistics for business groups and investigate areas of concerns.

–        Provide general information regarding companies’ benefits program (medical/dental, flexible spending, 401K, vision, etc.) to employees.

–        Investigate internal compliance hotline, EEOC, legal and DOL complaints as necessary and issue a formal report to the HR Manager.

–        Participate in the management of the compensation review, promotion and transfer process for accurate and timely submission of payroll changes

–        Ensure accurate and consistent implementation of corporate and global HR practices

–        Assist in researching competitors and stays abreast of the current market trends.



–        Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field coupled with a minimum of three (3) years of increasing responsibility as a Human Resource generalist or Coordinator.  Industrial environment desired.  

–        Knowledge / experience in employee relations, disciplinary investigations & disciplinary actions, including understanding of employment law and regulations (FMLA,ADA, FLSA, Title V11, EEO, HIPPA, AAP, etc.) other compliance issues, compensation, benefits, training and employee relations.
