Orbitz is currently looking for an Optimization Analyst to join the eMarketing SEM Team. This position will be based out of our Sunnyvale, California office and will report to the eMarketing Director. The person filling this role will be a key contributor in managing and optimizing advanced SEM in our Paid Search marketing portfolio.

The eMarketing Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, optimizing and reporting on day-to-day Sponsored Search P&L activities. The eMarketing Analyst will also be responsible for identifying operating efficiencies across sponsored search campaigns, eMarketing reporting / tracking tools and eMarketing process / procedures.

  • Daily review of eMarketing and campaign reports
  • Monitor sponsored search trends and investigate campaign / P&L irregularities
  • Write sponsored search copy for travel
  • Ability to build out new campaigns and optimize current structure on Google, Yahoo and MSN.
  • Test and optimize landing pages and copy
  • Work with eMarketing team to optimize campaigns in order to meet site goals and objectives
  • Identify and analyze new operating efficiencies within Sponsored Search/eMarketing
  • Work with the eMarketing team, finance and business planning to develop eMarketing forecasts
  • Represent eMarketing in preparation for quarterly business reviews, board meetings, senior leadership team meetings, etc.
  • Develop and produce daily and ad hoc reports to track key sponsored search/eMarketing performance metrics

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Experience in sponsored search is required.
  • Experience in an environment requiring fast learning of new skills is required.
  • Experience in Adwords, Adwords Editor and Yahoo and MSN user interfaces.
  • Experience using online marketing media and software platforms and reporting tools is a must.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Experience with SQL and query/reporting tools such as MS Access, Cognos, etc. is a plus.
  • Statistical background is a plus.
  • Experience with SAS or other statistical software solutions is a plus.
  • Experience with website measurement and click stream analysis tools is a plus
  • Ability to learn new skills and internal processes quickly
  • Ability to multitask
  • Professional verbal and written communicator
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
