Job description

 

Business Development Consultants provide sales, marketing, and practice management consultative support for financial advisors that are looking to grow their fee-based business with Symmetry’s investment solutions. Main responsibilities include:

  • Support a Regional Business Consultant, as well as the firm’s strategic initiatives in  order to successfully execute a business plan to maximize territorial sales
  • Proactively call out to potential and existing financial advisors to identify opportunities
  • Respond to advisor inquiries on investment strategies/process
  • Deliver effective training and/or presentations over the phone or via Internet
  • Utilize software to analyze client holdings; provide recommendations
  • Assist advisors in developing professional skills that encourage stronger client relationships and make them more successful business owners
  • Participate in the development of marketing and sales support materials
  • Position is located in our Glastonbury Corporate Office

Desired Skills and Experience

 

  • Bachelors degree
  • 1-3 year minimum industry experience
  • Willing to travel if necessary
  • Collaborate and act as an effective team member
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills: Must be able to solicit questions and provide feedback from advisor community
  • Excellent organizational skills/detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of investment concepts; Series 65 preferred
  • 401k experience
