Job Description

Account Manager/Inventory Analyst associates work with EB Sales associates to optimize sell through and provide value added services to Vendors and Retailers.  Primary responsibilities include providing reports (e.g., sell through, forecast, inventory, etc.) with valuable analysis, anticipating Retailer and vendor needs and effectively communicating with Retailer business analysts, Vendor personnel and the Established Brands team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide related reports on a weekly basis (every Monday) to include Retailer standard reports, Vendor Performance Scorecard, New Item Tracking Report, Promotion Sell Through, Item Information, In Stock and Out of Stock, Inventories, POS and other related reports.
  • Identify and communicate exceptions, opportunities and errors using weekly and ad hoc reports.
  • Provide forecast reports using Retailer portal, work directly with the Retailer business analyst and Vendor replenishment team to manage the forecast, system settings, and make the needed improvements that would influence POS, markdowns, margins, instock and sell thru.  
  • Provide analytical support and analysis in order to maximize sales (consider regions, traits, demographics, etc.) and place additional products at Retailer.  Analyze strengths of top selling items and make recommendations for improvements to low selling items using systems and reports.
  • Assist with presentations, sales materials and other duties as requested.
  • Work with team to support the rollout of new products, promotional packaging, and holiday inventory planning.
  • Facilitate the setup of new Vendors at Retailers.
  • Establish multi-level relationships with individuals in varied supply chain disciplines within Retailer and Vendor. 
  • Implement various procedures to ensure that service levels and performance objectives are met.
  • Other duties as may be assigned to meet the business needs.

Desired Skills and Experience

Critical Success Factors: Successful Account Management/Inventory Analyst associates have the following attributes/skills.

  • Multitask: Account Management/Inventory Analysts are responsible for maintaining the sales and inventory information for multiple vendors on a day-to-day basis.  Associates work with multiple individuals within EB, the Retailer and Vendor at the same time. 
  • Organized: Account Management/Inventory Analysts are expected to be highly organized, responsive and meet deadlines.  Through the utilization of spreadsheets, calendars, and electronic filing, Account Management/Inventory Analysts reference projected, current and historical information to assist the Sales team in providing value added services to the Vendors and Retailers.
  • Anticipate: Account Management/Inventory Analysts are expected to be experts in the businesses in which they work and the information they collect and analyze.  Associates must anticipate opportunities and challenges and communicate accordingly to the EB team, Retailer and Vendor.
  • Self-motivated: EB allows for independent time management. Much of an Account Management/Inventory Analyst’s time is spent working without direct supervision.  Associates are expected to hold themself accountable, take initiative, have pride in their work, strive for continuous improvement and provide value add.   
  • Communication: The ability to communicate (in person, telephone, email, etc.) professionally, promptly and effectively is critical.  Vendors and Retailers require insight and information on a daily basis and EB must communicate quickly and accurately internally and to Vendors and Retailers. 
  • Numbers/Spreadsheets: Affinity toward working with numbers and ability to be a power user of Excel.
  • Attention to Detail:  Attention to detail is critical as Vendors and Retailers rely on EB for accurate and complete data regarding inventory, forecasts, lead times, etc. to maximize sell through opportunities.


  • 1+ years experience with specific Retailer portal, inventory, replenishment and customer service.
  • Education:  4 year degree preferred.  Experience may be substituted.
  • Mastery of Retailer portals, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening
  • Strong aptitude for numbers, ladders, patterns and forecasting, solid organization and planning skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent internal, cross-functional working relationships.
  • Ability to self-impose standards of excellence to meet high performance standards.
