RingCentral is looking for a motivated and driven leader to manage our growing Sales Development Representative team, who will effectively build, mentor, inspire and lead a team of Sales Development Reps (SDRs) to exponentially grow RingCentral  business.  You should bring a proven track record of success in achieving sales targets and previous experience motivating teams through leadership, coaching, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. This is a highly visible role that will report to the Director of Sales while partnering with other sectors of the company. You should have a proven ability to consistently create qualified pipeline of incremental sales opportunities in our $100B market.

The cool stuff you will do:

  • Successfully drive team to consistently meet and exceed quota goals and performance objectives through 1:1 coaching
  • Manage a team of team 10-12 Sales Development Representatives (SDR’s) responsible for both Inbound Market Response, and Outbound Prospecting.  The Sales Development Manager works day-to-day to coach and develop SDR’s on prospect-research, call planning, call execution, sales-skills, and business processes. 
  • Reporting on defined weekly and monthly metrics to sales & marketing leadership at RingCentral.
  • Motivating Individuals and SDR team to exceed objectives through coaching, regular broadcast of results and leadership.
  • Identifying, and implementing recommendations for improvement in the areas of SDR efficiency and productivity.
  • Driving outstanding performance through guided coaching and expectation-setting with team members.
  • Helping to identify and implement industry best practices, productivity automation systems for supporting RingCentral’s lead-generation structure for the team to scale.
  • Working with the Marketing/Demand Generation to align the team responsible for lead management and pipeline creation
  • Reinforcing existing structure and process around sales development’s partnership with sales, product and marketing
  • Establishing ongoing criteria for Sales Development’s involvement in sales process
  • Provide feedback to appropriate internal organizations based upon “key learnings” from partners and prospects in regards to process and/or product improvements
  • Ensure optimal productivity requirements are met through weekly activity and pipeline reviews

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll need to succeed

  • 5 years of experience in Software Sales or Marketing lead-generation/Sales Development/Business Development
  • Two to five plus years of experience in software, inside sales management or sales development management, preferably in Cloud or enterprise applications
  • A consistent proven track record of over achievement of quota expectations
  • Proven experience successfully managing people to achieve performance goals
  • Successful track record in a sales & marketing environment
  • Outstanding communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills
  • Ability to hire, train and mentor new sales development representatives
  • Self-motivated, driven, organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to communicate information effectively to the team
  • Proven track record of developing solutions and driving pipeline
  • Outstanding presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinker and self-starter with strong conflict resolution skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of education, experience and training
  • Salesforce.com experience preferred
