We are looking for a collaborative individual who has experience and knowledge in the development and redesign of health services for communities.   This pivotal role will foster our relationships within the wider health sector and coordinate our approach with how St John contributes to improved models of care and better, more integrated services.  You will have an awareness of how community, primary care and District Health Board services are evolving, and be involved with developing an approach to ensure St John plays a proactive role in improving services for communities throughout New Zealand.

Desired Skills and Experience

Specifically, you will lead some of our key deliverables at a strategic level, along with setting up initiatives that contribute to our various roles within the health sector.  You will work closely with our internal stakeholders, primarily at General Manager and Director level, to ensure they champion and support initiatives of relevance to their specific functions. 

You will be able to contribute best practise knowledge, using documented analysis and research in relation to the Health sector and be confident and capable of producing reports including annual plans and objectives.  Understanding and communicating how St John plans support and align with key sector plans (e.g. District Health Board Annual Plans) is an important aspect to your role.  You will also have excellent financial and numeracy skills to a high level and be able to demonstrate a strong background with your advanced relationship management skills.  An innovative approach and project management skills are also a must.

A tertiary qualification (in business or a health related field is preferable) or equivalent demonstrated practical experience in health service development and/or delivery is desirable.
