SUMMARY

Develops and conducts programs to train partners, end users, and employees of Microscan Systems on all Microscan products and services (including general theory, operation, connectivity, installation, service, and basic sales benefits).  Will also provide training on applications and product selection across the Microscan product line.

 

Primary objectives of this position include:

  1. defining, organizing, and implementing a Certified Training Program for Microscan channel partners
  2. providing training and certification tests through the on-line Microscan Learning Management System (LMS)
  3. develop and deliver Instructor Led Training class modules for Microscan products
  4. coordinate, track and promote training worldwide with the help of field application engineers

 

Writes content for technical training programs, including outline, text, handouts, tests, demos, and exercises to be distributed or included to the LMS website.

 

Training objectives will be established through consistent communications with staff, and other Program Managers.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinates      training visits of partners and customers by aligning resources, developing      schedules, and materials. 

 

  • Develop      technical training materials for worldwide implementation that will      enhance partner performance and customer competencies.

 

  • Participates      in meetings, seminars, and training sessions within and outside the United      States to obtain information useful to the training program.  This includes conducting or      participating in technical training classes at customer sites, and providing      other training support in the field.      

 

  • Accurately      completes all required reporting on a timely basis. 

 

  • Provides      instruction and mentoring of co-workers, as needed, to assist them in      executing their tasks successfully and according to documented procedures. 

 

  • Provides      status to the Channel Manager concerning resource allocation and expected      workload. 

 

  • Communicate      and present themselves in a professional manner that represents Microscan      in the highest quality manner.    

 

  • Travel      is required for this position.  It      is estimated that travel will demand as much as 45% of the Training      Coordinator’s total available time, depending on individual training      objectives and schedule.  Travel      will be both domestic and international, and will fluctuate in terms of      frequency throughout a typical year.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be fluent in English.  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, in English is a requirement.  The candidate must demonstrate ability to write clearly and professionally in English, and to be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format is also desirable. Ability to effectively present information to top management or public groups using PowerPoint or other presentation tools is a requirement of this position.  Candidates possessing ability to speak, write, and read in additional languages (beyond English) are invited to apply as secondary language abilities are considered highly desirable.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Due to the requirements of this training activity, the candidate should be able to demonstrate ability to explain and apply appropriate mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, lighting theory, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Desired Skills and Experience

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from an accredited four-year college or university in Electrical/Electronics or Computer Engineering is recommended.  Four years of equivalent direct experience and/or training in related technical field would be acceptable.  In addition, we require three years of successful experience in project or program management.
