Job description

Contract: Coordinate with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, contract performance, contract administration and other major matters. The day-to-day questions that arise concerning the contract terms and conditions from the project management team will be the responsibility of the CA to answer.

Project Change Orders: Working with the Cost Control Analyst, the CA will ensure that Project Change Order Requests involve activities not within the scope of the original contract.  Provide assistance to the Project Controls Manager (PCM) in developing ProjectChange Orders (PCO) and gaining needed approvals.

Insurance Management: Obtain and review insurance certificates for contract compliance, verify the validity of insurance certificates, maintain tickler system for policy expirations.

Contract Close-Out: Assist with the reconciliation of the contractor’s account, the preparation and coordination of contract closeout checklist, preparation of final commitment authorization and change order.  Obtain contractor’s release of lien and final payment. 

General: Participate in coordination meetings to maintain level of familiarity of project status, as well as to be of assistance in areas of contract administration. Interface with the Enbridge Project team including but not limited to the Project Managers, Engineers, Inspectors, Safety Coordinators, and Project Administration personnel to provide support, and to be supported where and when the project requires.Organize contract administration materials for physical and electronic archiving and reference.

Desired Skills and Experience

-  Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.

-  3 to 5 years of Contract Administration preferred.

-  Intermediate to advance experience in cost control including craft labour and construction materials and equipment control.

-  Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.

-  Intermediate knowledge in contract administration.

-  Experience with oil & gas and petrochemical construction is preferred.

-  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-  Working knowledge of planning & scheduling work processes related to construction project controls.
