Job description

    • Operational Tasks
      • Staff needs evaluation and sourcing.
      • Wage evaluation and determination.
      • Labor management approaches.
      • Evaluation of differing makes, models and types of vehicles (including alternative fuel vehicles) to better understand differing vehicle cost characteristics, which will aid in financial modeling.
      • Development of maintenance operating plans for properly maintaining differing types of vehicles.
      • Implementation of standard maintenance practices across the company.
      • Development of technically written descriptions of our standard maintenance procedures as well as customized approaches for each opportunity.
      • Evaluation of proposed maintenance facility sites and plans
      • Development of environmental management programs.
      • Oversight and support of safety programs within the maintenance shops.
      • Evaluation of shop equipment needs and costing to include the needs for bidding opportunities
      • Evaluation of inventory needs and costing.
      • Provide maintenance cost and staffing determinations for bid model development in response to RFPs
    • Purchasing Tasks
      • Development and approval of vehicle specifications for company owned equipment and specification support services to clients.
      • Evaluation of current company purchasing program and establishment of controls and standardized approaches for purchasing vehicles, shop equipment, fuel and parts.
      • Development of vendor relationships to maximize buying leverage.
      • Evaluation and improvement of inventory management program.  Standardize inventory value benchmarks, purchase centrally and in bulk to leverage scale, timing of purchases to minimize inventories. 
      • Evaluation and improvement of warranty management program.
      • Maximization of rebate programs and parts purchasing incentive programs.

Desired Skills and Experience

- 5-10 years in the passenger industry required

-Previous experience and knowledge in purchasing and maintenance facilites required

-Previous management experience in mid to senior level capacity preferred
