Job description



We’re looking for a content expert to create and manage scaled educational materials for Facebook’s advertising products. The desired candidate is a strong writer and editor with experience managing web content and using data analysis to optimize content for business goals. This person should have a creative, entrepreneurial spirit with concrete ideas for how to reinvent help at Facebook. This full-time position reports to the Manager of Help Content and is based in our Menlo Park headquarters.

Responsibilities
  • Educate small and medium businesses on Facebook by conveying complicated technical topics in simple, jargon-free language
  • Write Help Center pages, contact forms and support emails for new product and marketing launches
  • Collaborate with product, design, sales, marketing, operations and legal teams to quickly satisfy diverse requirements using Facebook’s voice
  • Optimize content delivery using quantitative analysis to maximize user satisfaction and issue resolution
  • Think creatively about how to improve our Help Center and user education initiatives, A/B test content formats and channels to validate suggestions for change, and move quickly to implement data-driven improvements
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining close attention to detail and meeting short, frequently changing deadlines

Requirements
  • 3-5 years of professional writing experience, preferably in advertising
  • Deep understanding of Facebook with a passion for helping small businesses succeed in a new economy
  • Experienced project manager, with the ability to work through ambiguity, prioritize, be flexible, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Proficiency with data analysis
  • Comfort editing the writing of others and receiving frequent feedback on your own writing
  • SQL proficiency a plus
  • Basic HTML skills preferred
