The Graduate Management Admission Council® (GMAC®) is the leader in the discovery and evaluation of talent—through assessments—for programs of study in management and business education. Our primary service, the Graduate Management Admission Test® (GMAT®), is an invaluable tool used by graduate management programs around the world to aid the admissions process.  The Council is comprised of more than 200 of the world’s leading business and management schools around the world.

 

The Global Communications department develops messages and produces written and multimedia materials supporting the GMAC brand, the GMAT exam, GMAC research, marketing, governance and new products. The group also manages the Council’s global media relations and communications activities.

The Director, Visual Identity & Creative Services reports to the VP, Global Communications and is responsible for clear and documented approach to visual identity and branding materials that hews to an global  brand position using printed and online communications to its school, student and corporate audiences.  He/she will also be responsible for marketing the groups’ services and products to both internal and external clients.

 

Core Responsibilities:

 

1)    Implement and maintain clear and documented approach to visual identity in support of current and future branding strategies as well as product development, web strategies, marketing and regional business development functions. 

 

2)    Develop a strategic approach to optimize the use of existing and future publications.  

 

3)    Expand use of online communications tools to deliver consistently relevant contributions from media relations and publications to  GMAC’s overall online content stream.

 

4)    Manage a High Performance Team.

  

 

Desired Skills and Experience

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • 6 – 8 years of related publication, communication experience with a minimum of three years in a supervisory leadership role.
  • Experience in developing visual identity materials and policies
  • Bachelor level degree in Communications or other relevant field 
  • Relevant web publishing skills and competencies
  • Experience in leveraging new media
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail
