About the Job

 

The STA, MIS leads the cross-functional product development team in the evolution and delivery of CPM’s portfolio of pharmaceutical management solutions.  The STA, MIS is responsible for all aspects of product definition, product development, internal stakeholders as well as the client-facing definition and presentation of the solutions.  The individual must have a proven background in product development, software development lifecycle management and successfully implementing solutions across the market. The individual will play a lead role within the SIAPS project working with senior/principal technical advisors and country teams in designing and developing intervention to improve the use of data for decision making. Additionally, the individual will lead teams in evaluating systems and identifying gaps in functionality, and monitoring and tracking the use of solutions across projects/countries. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to create and effectively present a product vision for internal and external stakeholders.  Qualified candidate must be self-motivated.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and finalize requirements documents and functional specifications
  2. Define product functionality
  3. Ensure CPM’s solution architecture is aligned with the product direction and strategy
  4. Ensure delivery of high-quality product, in accordance with the specifications; ensure user compliance to specifications and recommendations in managing updates and upgrades.
  5. Develop and manage product implementations and user trainings
  6. Update and maintain all solutions-related documentation and manuals
  7. Manage integration / interface development across solutions/tools
  8. Interfacing with project teams as the product and subject matter expert
  9. Manage and maintain  product messaging and positioning, demonstrations, presentations, user forums and other information disseminating tools on project websites
  10. Support SIAPs country teams in training clients / users and troubleshooting for staff, partners and users
  11. Identify new technologies, functionality, hardware to continuously refine CPM’s software solutions
  12. Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing, Business Intelligence and data visualization considerations
  13. Knowledge of contract management, intellectual property and USAID guidelines
  14. Excellent verbal, written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  15. Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks

 

Desired Skills and Experience

Required Experience

  1. BS/BA in Computer Science, MIS or closely related field or equivalent work experience required
  2. Master/graduate degree required.
  3. 7+ years business experience required
  4. 5+ years of implementation and training experience
  5. 3 years  of managing/supervising development and implementation of systems
  6. 2+ years of experience in overseeing the entire product development lifecycle
  7. Demonstrated experience in crafting product messaging, contracts, demonstrations and presentations
  8. 5+ years of experience writing functional specifications and providing direction to creative, usability, development and quality assurance stakeholders.
  9. Ability to speak French/Portuguese/ Spanish desirable.
  10. International travel as required (35%).
