Job Summary: 

 

We currently have an opening for a Director, Payer Marketing in our Parsippany, NJ location. This person will direct the establishment of strategic value campaign marketing objectives and business plans for managed markets in order to meet sales and profit goals. Oversee the creation of managed market promotional programs, performance metrics, reporting, and account team training.

 

Responsibilities:

 

This person will direct the development of the annual managed markets value campaign marketing plans by brand and health improvement management.   Foster close collaboration with the product brand teams in order maximize profit, access and market share in market accounts. Ensure that all strategies and tactics support the brands overall goals and objectives. Directs the Value Campaign product development, creation and implementation of managed markets promotional messages and materials including promotional visual-aides, compliance programs, formulary adherence initiatives, market expansion programs, advisory boards and managed care thought leader development. Also responsible for the leadership of Account Manager Feedback teams.

 

Direct the optimization of resources available to support managed markets in order to achieve financial goals. This includes detailed account analysis via oversight of the Department’s SFA and decision support systems in order to create and implement contracting and rebating strategies, as well as focus marketing efforts and dollars on those accounts that will yield the greatest financial return. Integrate managed market services activities with managed market field sales, field sales, product brand teams, marketing research, medical & scientific affairs, contract administration, legal, finance and others to insure optimal coordination of Daiichi Sankyo efforts to meet customer needs.

 

Direct the creation and implementation of all training materials for account managers in order increase core competencies and improve the quality of account calls and business acumen.

 

Education/Experience: 

 

  • Qualified candidates must have  Bachelor's degree in science or business; MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical sales/marketing experience including 4 years of managed care (including Corporate Account assignment) and direct selling experience.
  • Brand Marketing or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory management experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
