Compensation and Benefits Analyst

The Compensation and Benefits Analyst contributes to our company’s success by consulting in the design, development and delivery of highly effective compensation and benefits programs. This candidate will help support the organization in engaging, rewarding, and retaining top talent around the world.
 
Job Responsibilities

Primary Compensation Duties:

  • Evaluate existing domestic and international market data sources (published surveys, comp peer network, recruiting data etc); identify, participate in, and procure new market intelligence.
  • Evaluate new positions for external competitiveness and internal equity. Identify internal market benchmarks and assist in the development and administration of market range infrastructure.
  • Assist with development of internal career paths, leveling, and titling. 
  • Administer the payout of variable compensation programs including corporate bonus, profit share, sales, services, and management incentive plans.
  • Assist in the design of variable compensation programs including corporate bonus, profit share, sales, services, and management incentive plans.
  • Prepare and deliver base salary focal review processes.  Participate in program design changes.
  • Participate in the administration and analysis of equity compensation programs.
  • Act as consultant to organization on compensation issues, and partners with HR in the development of solutions. 
  • Evaluate and recommend process and system improvements to support the compensation function.
  • Participate in the development of key compensation reporting and metrics.  Analyze data for trends and statistical significance and make recommendations to management.

Primary Benefits Duties:

  • Answer employee questions related to the company’s Benefits Programs regarding plan options, policy features, renewals, and Open Enrollment.
  • Responsible to communicate benefits information to new hires and assist employees with day-to-day benefits inquiries.
  • Responsible for communicating plan changes to benefits support vendors. 
  • Manage and work with benefits vendors, brokers and plan carriers on status updates, issue reconciliation, and information sharing.
  • Coordinate employee leaves of absence.
  • Serve as primary business contact for leave of absence processing (including Disability and Worker’s compensation).




 

Desired Skills and Experience

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years in professional Compensation role to include:
  • Solid experience in completing salary surveys and overseeing focal compensation programs
  • Experience with job analysis including job/career path development
  • Strong understanding of base comp methodology
  • Solid market pricing experience including some international
  • Experience developing variable compensation programs
  • Experience developing equity compensation programs
  • Experience in overseeing compensation programs within the High tech industry a plus
  • Expert analytical skills in particular Excel
  • Minimum 3 years Benefits Experience:
  • Thorough understanding of federal and state laws (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Superior customer focus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including conflict management
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Innovative in problem solving and negotiation
  • Exceptional organizational skills including ability to manage multiple conflicting requests and job responsibilities
  • Strong prioritization skills in order to meet multiple concurrent deadlines
