Manager of Web Marketing

Position Summary Description:

The manager of web marketing is primarily responsible for our web marketing strategies including multi-channel online campaigns, banner ad placement and search engine marketing. The person in this position plays a key role in our innovative and growing marketing team, focusing on increasing direct response and lead generation through integrated online marketing vehicles. The result is strong conversion rates and exceptional sales. This position reports to the director of sales and marketing strategy and is a full-time exempt position located in our Atlanta, Georgia headquarters.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Assess business goals and recommend digital marketing strategies and programs that deliver high response, conversion and retention rates, and build brand equity; tactics to include SEO, SEM, email, display and online communities
  • Build and maintain multiple web presences for HTI clients
  • Help develop and implement new sales channels with campaign managers and IT
  • Develop and implement a media plan that establishes HTI as a relevant, contributing voice to the online community and positions our products in the marketplace
  • Manage requirements and creative brief development and collaborate with the creative, product, and engineering teams on the development, execution, testing and analysis of online marketing campaigns and programs
  • Work with members of the team to maintain day-to-day implementation of campaign activities including managing ad creative and tracking
  • Work continually on optimization of all managed partnerships including performance of specific placements, ad creative/sizes and landing pages
  • Create an analytics and reporting framework for executive management, channels, campaigns and products
  • Work with analytics team to optimize conversion funnels and maximize effectiveness of incoming traffic
  • Monitor key metrics across campaigns and site analytics
  • Analyze site traffic and customer data to recognize new revenue opportunities
  • Lead the strategic planning of marketing sites and customer portals
  • Monitor results and continually optimize to improve targeting and ROI
  • Work with strategic vendor partners to develop and launch co-marketing programs
  • Research and test online advertising opportunities using media research tools, e.g., com-Score, Ad-Planner and Media Visor
  • Ensure web best practices and usability guidelines

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience with alternative sales solutions and email marketing techniques and strategy
  • Advanced analytical experience with program and campaign tracking and customer segmentation
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing techniques and measurements
  • Experience purchasing all types of online media including banners, email (links/banners/dedicated drops), pop-ups/unders, text links, etc.
  • Success in a fast-paced work environment with minimal day-to-day supervision
  • Ability to inspire confidence in senior level product and sales management
  • Ability to work efficiently in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment
  • A self-starter, decisive, action-oriented attitude
  • Self-motivation to stay current on new web marketing trends, initiatives and technologies
  • Enthusiasm for social media thriving on using online social communities for personal and professional interest

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in business, marketing or equivalent, with 5+ years progressive responsibilities in B2B and B2C marketing with an emphasis in online-focused sales channels, and 5+ years of experience in online marketing and/or interactive advertising.Proficiency in standard web technologies including HTML, CSS Google Analytics and CRM experience is a plus. Portfolio of successful online campaigns with results and creative samples required. Agency experience a big plus

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; hear or talk: use close vision; use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects; and type and manipulate controls. Employee is occasionally required to use distance vision, stand, kneel or crouch and lift up to 10 lbs.
