About this job

Job description

Business Relationship Manager

Do you have extensive experience from a cross-functional role that involves IT? Would you like a significant role as a trusted partner, working across IT and the Business Enabling departments in the LEGO Group?

Join Corporate IT within the Business Enabling organisation

Corporate IT - Business Enabling (CIT BE) delivers all IT services in the area of Finance, HR, Communications and Business Intelligence. Our focus is on IT that adds significant value to the LEGO Group.

As our new Business Relationship Manager, you derive the IT requirements from the Business needs in order to ensure adequate IT solutions are developed in due time for realising business value. By putting business oriented IT on the agenda you inspire the business and advise on solutions with the best strategic fit. To align with other functions within CIT you will be part of the leadership team of 5 people.

Deliver IT strategy and master plan that meets business needs

You will be overall responsible for bridging IT with the Business Enabling areas. Accordingly, you are the anchor person when building and maintaining the pipeline of IT projects in close cooperation with Business Enabling leadership teams. You help define and prioritise IT projects - to get sustainable solutions that match the needs of the Business Enabling organisation on strategic, tactical and operational level.

The challenge for you is to function as a proactive, trustworthy and strategic sparring partner and use your deep insight into the needs and demands of the business to find the right solutions in close collaboration with process owners, IT architects etc. In this connection, you also act as a single point of contact between the business leadership and Corporate IT to facilitate the creation of business cases related to prioritised projects. This gives you the opportunity to play a highly significant role where you drive collaboration both between business and Corporate IT and internally within Corporate IT while developing your own area.

A combination of solid IT and business understanding and experience

- You have an academic degree in IT, Engineering or a business related field
- In addition, you have 5-10 years' experience from a similar role, where you have worked in the cross-functional zone between IT and Finance, HR or other departments
- Alternatively, you have similar experience from an IT role and have worked with the business side of IT
- Good IT skills are a prerequisite, and knowledge of SAP is an advantage
- You speak and write English fluently

Your background and experience have given you the ability to take a holistic view of how business and IT interacts, and you understand both business processes and the more technical IT terms. As a person, you are extrovert and a strong relation builder, who can create trust through both open dialogue and by delivering results - and on all levels of the organisation. Finally, you are structured and rational, yet intuitive with the drive and weight to get buy-in on solutions.
