Job description

Chevo is currently hiring an experienced Budget/Capital Planning Program Analyst to join our expanding portfolio management practice.

This position will provide the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business better than they know it and to become a trusted advisor. The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to program/project management, budget, capital planning, program governance, and system development life cycle management activities.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Works closely with investment owners on compliance with agency standards
  • Creates briefings for investment owners, and the client team as well as their management on the outcomes of reviews
  • Creates high-impact presentations for senior client leaders
  • Creates and maintain project plans and related documents
  • Participates on a team supporting the Budgeting and Capital Planning Office of a federal agency
  • Establishes, monitors, measures, assesses or evaluates performance metrics for the program
  • Creates status reporting, both internally and to the client; creating reports for executive reporting; and providing support for OMB, agency, and bureau data calls
  • Develops program communications with stakeholders
  • Takes on other tasks to ensure timely and quality submission of deliverables

 

Desired Skills and Experience

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience*
  • Two (2+) years experience supporting budgeting, capital planning and Business Case tasks.
  • Ability to pass client security clearance requirements

* Other degrees require additional years of experience

Desired Skills:

  • Hands-on experience performing federal program management services
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to clients
  • Excellent client handling skills
  • Strong analytical skills – assertive and inquisitive manner that allows the individual to take even indirectly related and orally communicated information and transform it into actionable information
  • Understanding of and experience with federal Capital Planning process and related reporting 
  • Experience developing Business Cases and Cost Benefit Analysis for Federal Programs
