The Japan Nonprofit Product Manager is responsible for maintaining the Salesforce.com Foundation's philanthropic product donation and discount program (the Product Program) for the duration of the Japan Foundation Manager's maternity leave.



The Japan Nonprofit Product Manager reports to the UK-based International Foundation Director; works closely with the Japan Community Program Coordinator based in Tokyo, and is supported and ‘buddied' by the International Customers for Life Manager in Dublin, Ireland.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

-           manage all customers and prospective customers for the Product Program in Japan, with a strong focus on customer success;

-           manage Japan nonprofit license requests from qualification to account activation and answering queries;

-           develop opportunities to introduce Salesforce product to nonprofits and social enterprises who may benefit from the Product Program;

-           handle requests from nonprofits wishing to buy discounted licenses;

-           promote the Product Program, work processes, goals and results internally at all levels of the Company and stay aligned with relevant corporate strategic goals for Sales, Marketing and Alliances;

-           maintain relationships with grantee partners NPO Support Center and Fundrex;

-           support existing commercial and nonprofit partners providing discounted or pro bono resources for Foundation customers;

-           attend and support the Japan Nonprofit Usergroup and support the successful presence of nonprofits at Cloudforce Japan;

-           share success stories internally on Chatter, and for inclusion in external social media campaigns;

-           attend regular International team meetings, occasional global team meetings, sometimes outside regular office hours, and some travel may be required;

-           ensure local programs fit Japanese culture by keeping a balance between local operations and global strategy.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-           work with the Japan Enterprise Sales Team to develop the Japan nonprofit discounted sales program;

-           develop internal and external relationships that meet the training, implementation and consulting needs of nonprofits;

-           contribute to developing more effective work processes for the Japan Product Program.

SKILLS REQUIRED

l   a good understanding of the nonprofit sector in Japan

l   a passion for using Salesforce technology to support the nonprofit sector

l   fluent written and spoken in Japanese and English

l   excellent communication and presentation skills

l   ability to manage own workload independently, multi-task and prioritize effectively

l   strong IT skills

l   knowledge of cloud computing, salesforce.com products and applications

l   ability to work in a fast paced, global team environment

l   confidence interacting at many levels, from senior company executives to grassroots nonprofits;

TRAINING

The successful applicant will receive training from the Foundation as well as salesforce.com to ensure they can successfully carry out their duties, including training on using the salesforce.com application.
