Job description

The candidate will report to the Director of the Cardiovascular and WebMD Global business unit based in Montreal and work primarily on educational content targeted to an Ex-US, European, and French audience.  Working closely with the European teams, this person must fluent in both French and English.


Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of web-based programs to publish online, owning and managing all required project processes, and managing key relationships with Scientific (Content) Directors, Production, Creative and Marketing departments. The Program Manager serves as the team lead for their respective programs and is ultimately responsible for the successful on-time, on-budget delivery of all programs.

  • Leading the project team by managing the workflow from contract signing through successful online publishing
  • Planning, implementation and management of online multi-media educational programs
  • Maintain on-going communication and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders including scientific directors, grant specialists, production teams, faculty, and accreditation bodies .
  • Focusing on challenging processes in order to better the organization's ability to produce high-quality medical education
  • Maintain project status reports, budgets, and all ensure all trackers are up to-date  (revenue, conference, project)
  • Effectively communicating with and co-ordinate the work of multiple internal teams (web production, broadcast, scientific directors) to ensure quality and timeliness of program delivery
  • Faculty management and recruitment
  • Manage the communication between supporters, speakers, internal stakeholders
  • Developing relationships and establishing the process with Ex-US accrediting bodies

Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will combine a strong will to succeed with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines, as well as the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and with sharp attention to detail.


  • 3-5 years work experience in the medical education field
  • Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and follow through in a highly deadline-driven environment;
  • Ability to work with team members abroad and across various time zones;
  • Solution oriented involving creativity in problem solving
  • A true love of multitasking in order to manage multiple moving parts and projects simultaneously;
  • Comfortable working in an online/multimedia environment
  • Knowledge of European and French accreditation organizations and guidelines is an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree, with an interest in management and health
  • Interest in pharmaceutical industry
  • Fluent in English and French (verbal and written);
  • Candidate must be willing to travel internationally (Time for required travel is approx 30%)
