For our office in Germany, we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer    Purpose of role:   Providing Support to Wonderware Customers in Germany  as a member of the Technical Support group.    Product Responsibilities for this position include Supervisory and SCADA software; Wonderware System Platform (Industrial Application Server, Wonderware InSQL Historian, Information Server Portal, Data Acquisition Servers) and Clients InTouch, ActiveFactory, MES, InBatch, Intelligence, ArchestrA Workflow   You are responsible for:   1.  Responsible for providing Technical Support for products mentioned in Purpose of Role.  This requires interfacing with customers, distributors, and SI's in Germany, and  Germany’s distributors   This interface includes responsibility for covering the phone queue during the normal Germany  business hours (GMT+1). Expected load is to manage an average caseload of 20 cases at any given time. (60%) 2.  Researching cases, running lab tests, and interfacing with Maintenance and Product Marketing 3.  Writing knowledge objects, tech alerts or notes, host webinars   4. Presentations, product demos, training involved with internal customers (peers) and customers (such as at the Tech Support Symposium) 5. Customer site visits to solve the issues or to provide consultancy services 6. Other duties as required 7. Active participation in various meetings as required.  Meetings such as the P1/P2 meeting, EURA P3 meeting, etc.  8.Documentation of activities and findings in a case tracking tool 9.Knowledge transfer via technical documentation such as Tech Notes, WebEx's, Articles, White Papers, Knowledge Objects   Primary Interfaces are both External and Internal   The position interfaces to the following groups primarily:   ·         (External component):    End-user customers, systems integrators, OEMs ·         (Internal component):  Sales, Application Engineers, Level 2 Support Engineers, Research & Development (R &D), Product Management, and other Global Customer Support team members.

Competencies: You keep the results in mind using the right solutions and know the communication to transmit to the customer and your colleagues.   Requirements: 
* Preference given to candidates with B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science, or relevant experience in HMI Supervisory & SCADA Systems
* Candidate should have 3-5 years in Automation, Systems Integrator, Applications Engineer, Technical Support Engineer
* Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills in English, Strong knowledge of Microsoft OS, Office Programming skills MS .Net
* MS SQL Server skills  -  DBA, Maintenance, Reporting
* PLC Programming
* Factory Automation
* Industrial Instrumentation
* Factory operations
* Systems Integration
* Local Language natively spoken or fluent,
* Fluent in English
* Excellent writing skills. Most of the work will be written (email, documentation, etc.).
* Excellent telephone manner.
