Job description

  • Plan and implement an effective HSEQ Management System ensuring activities for a safe and secure working environment in accordance to PETRONAS & regulatory requirements for Asia region.
  • Investigate and analyse all HSEQ related issues and identify corrective and preventive measures to prevent recurrence and occurrence.
  • Develop and implement an effective HSEQ-related training to all level of employees.
  • Compile and circulate HSEQ related data from/to different locations within the company for trend analysis and strategy development related to HSEQ issues.
  • Custodian of an HSEQ monitoring database system and improve the system as per users’ requirements.
  • Provide expert advice to operational groups around for certification and surveillance audit of Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001:2004 & OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO/TS 16949

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or any related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in managing Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), preferably in Multinational Company within the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Knowledgeable in Process Safety Management
  • Excellent understanding of Management System (ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001). Lead Assessor qualification is an advantage.
  • Able to influence and motivate staff and contractors to improve HSEQ system.
  • Excellent command in English and Malay language, written and oral. Proficient in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
  • Possess management skills on planning, organizing, communicating and problem solving.
  • Passionate and highly committed in driving HSEQ .
