Job description

Sales Compensation Administrative Organization (SCAO) is responsible for the processing of incentive compensation for Retail and Group products. As part of the SCAO Technology Team, this position will provide business project management oversight of group product related technology development initiatives sponsored by SCAO.


  • Working in the Sales Compensation Administrative Organization (SCAO), act as a senior project leader and business analyst for technology development projects supporting sales incentive compensation systems.
  • Provide project management oversight for very large/critical technology projects typically spanning the entire organization.
  • Develop and execute project plans for the entire application development life-cycle.
  • Estimate and manage project tasks, costs, risks, issues, and resources
  • Provide project leadership for project teams consisting of 2-10 full time equivalents.
  • Obtain results through others not in your direct report. Lead and motivate project team members that may span entire organization both business and IT.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business and IT-AD areas, translating business needs into software application requirements
  • Develop detailed user acceptance plans and scripts. Oversee UAT execution and resources.
  • Ensure project quality objectives are met.
  • Communicate effectively with technology team project members, AD partners, and business users.
  • Provide updates to senior leadership on project health. Conduct escalations of project issues where appropriate.
  • Participate in high level discussions with senior management regarding technology strategies and decisions
  • Drive project decision making with stakeholders.

Desired Skills and Experience

Experience and Competencies:

  • Strong project management experience in technology development.
  • Experience with both waterfall and agile project lifecycles.
  • Advanced business analyst skills. Ability to effectively translate business needs into technical documentation.
  • Advanced knowledge of system design processes, methodology and testing tools such as Quality Center
  • 10+ years working in project teams with at least 3 as a project leader.
  • Proven results in leading large scale technology development projects.
  • PMP a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft products such as Excel, Access, Outlook, Project and Sharepoint
  • SQL, OQL, Java Script knowledge a plus
