Job description

Frymaster, a member of the Manitowoc Foodservice family of companies, global leaders in commercial foodservice equipment, is seeking a dynamic Director of Human Resources. In addition to industry-leading fryers, Frymaster manufactures commercial fryer filtration equipment (built-in and portable), foodservice equipment computers, water-bath rethermalizers and pasta cookers.
Key responsibilities of this position include directing and administering policies relating to all phases of human resources activity for two facilities and 600 employees. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, this position is based in Shreveport, LA.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources and helps ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

- Acts as resource to local leadership team, managers and directors. Assist and advise in areas of compensation, recruiting, promotion, etc.

- Manage and guide the recruitment function for professional/technical/hourly positions including on-boarding and all areas of legal compliance including I-9 and e-verify.

- Provides training and guidance to salaried employees/managers in ePerformance, eCompensation; provide training and acts as resource to all employees with respect to benefits.

- Employee relations - provide counsel to employees on variety of issues; including conflict resolution.

- Work in Peoplesoft and PeopleFluent and other software (BALANCEaap) to maintain records and ensure compliance with government regulations.

- Advise department managers of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.

- Develop activities, programs, and events which continually promote a philosophy to enhance overall employee relations and maintain a non-union environment.

- Build, manage and develop a world-class HR team to drive positive employee relations and a customer focused HR culture. Manage the performance of direct reports to maximize organizational impact and efficiency.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in Human Resource Management.

- A minimum of 10 years experience in Human Resources required.

- Experience in a Human Resource Generalist role within a manufacturing setting required.

- A minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role required.

- Working knowledge of fundamental employee and labor relations concepts in a non-union environment required.

- Working knowledge of diversified recruiting methods, including an understanding of the legalities of recruiting.

- Working knowledge/hands on experience of benefits (health and welfare programs, retirement plans, disability and leave of absence programs, FMLA, Unemployment, Workers Compensation, etc.).

- Knowledge of HR related federal, state, and local laws.

- Understanding of compensation fundamentals.

- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with training and the development of training.

- Some travel may be required.

- Normal office environment with 20% exposure to shop floor.
