Job Summary:

 The Sales Engineer provides technical sales support and product support to sales representatives and customers in all phases of the sales process, including application analysis, quotation assistance, and after-sales support. In addition to supporting the sales team and customers, the sales engineer will assist the product management team by providing technical and market intelligence during all phases of the product life cycle.

Job Responsibilities:

-          Providing technical sales support to sales representatives, customers, and in-house staff.

-          Provide day-to-day technical information for leads, quotes, and orders.

-          Complete sales quotations for salesmen and customers.

-          Assist in competitive analysis of product offerings and market trends.

-          Support the product development team during customer evaluations and tests.

-          Write technical specifications during the proposal process.

-          Evaluate customer specifications during the proposal process.

-          Assist with product promotional and advertising activities.

-          Perform evaluation and create reports on customer and/or sales applications.

-          Travel to customer sites for evaluations and testing.

-          Travel within the United States, Canada, and Latin America.        

Desired Skills and Experience

- Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively     communicate with customers and in-house staff.

- Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet critical deadlines.

- Able to use strong analytical skills to make recommendations to customers, engineering, and sales team.

- Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects, working independently to meet deadlines.

- Able to learn and use new business and technical software.

- Able to understand the technical aspects of the product.

- Able to understand the customer’s application and use of the product.

- High proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

  • 4 year technical degree, mechanical or electrical engineering, preferred or 2 year technical degree in the NDT field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a technical sales support role.
