The Philips Enterprise Imaging Informatics (EII) Engineering Operations team provides operational and logistical support to Product Development, Release, and Sustaining Engineering functions for radiology imaging solutions and enterprise support offerings.  They provide project execution resources and support to Engineering projects in the following areas:   Software Configuration Management and Release; Deployment Support; Engineering Tools Support Administration; and Engineering IT.


SharePoint and InfoPath are at the core of our Engineering tools environment, providing a suite of “home grown” applications to track things such as Product Delivery and Release; internal staffing; software license management; and a number of others.  These applications are to be tightly integrated into our suite of commercial tools such as defect management, requirements and test management, and our file servers to automate some of our routine tasks to enhance our productivity.  The successful candidate for this position will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining applications based on SharePoint/InfoPath; have experience with integrating SharePoint with commercial Applications such as IBM Rational ClearQuest and HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM); and have an ability to turn a manual process into an automated one using SharePoint/InfoPath



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain business applications using SharePoint, InfoPath SharePoint Designer, Nintex, and other tooling as required

  • Identify processes in the release and deployment functions that are candidates to automate using workflow automation tooling (e.g. SharePoint designer, custom scripting, etc.).  Design, implement, and support solutions to enable those automations

  • Design, implement, and maintain a tight integration between multiple production systems in PII, including :

    • SharePoint

    • Requirements management (CaliberRM)

    • Defect management (IBM Rational ClearQuest)

    • Test Management (HP Applications Lifecycle Management (ALM - formerly Quality Center

    • Source Control (CollabNet/Subverson)

    • Build / Release / Deployment (FinalBuilder, SharePoint, various…)

    • Customer data (Heartbeat – Internally Developed tool)

    • Collaboration (SharePoint, Wiki)

  • Enable integrations to SharePoint that position it as the central source of information and documentation.

  • Participate in projects to align tooling and processes with other Philips Healthcare R&D organizations. 

  • Invent and implement process improvements related to software configuration, release management, and deployment.

  • Provide progress reports for all projects and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Technical/Functional Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and InfoPath

  • Experience with SharePoint Designer, SharePoint workflow, and Nintex

  • Experience with a database such as Microsoft SQL Server, including database administration, development, and performance

  • Experience with building applications using Windows Workflow Foundation

  • Experience with Microsoft Biztalk

  • Experience with SCM tools; knowledge of CollabNet/Subversion and Rational ClearQuest desirable.

  • Experience with FinalBuilder or other build automation application

  • Proven abilities in designing, writing and debugging portable code in Perl

  • Experience operating in command-lin
    e environments across MS Windows, Linux, and Solaris

  • Perl, Powershell, Bash/Bourne Shell, or other scripting a plus

  • Knowledge of GNU Make and C / C++ / C# / asp.NET

  • Experience with software lifecycle

  • Web based programming in HTML, CGI, Javascript and/or Java programming a strong plus

  • Active Directory and DNS experience a plus

Experience Requirements:

  • Five years of hands on SharePoint/InfoPath development and/or project experience and have experience with tools such as SharePoint Designer and SharePoint Workflow.

  • Database design skills and experience with HTML, scripting, and preferably C#. 



·         Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience in programming computer applications.
