CH2M HILL Mechanical/HVAC Engineering Careers – Corvallis, Oregon

The challenge? Providing outstanding sustainable engineering services on every project. Our Mechanical Engineering career path is your chance to work in one of our largest design delivery offices as a key team member on HVAC design, and Energy Projects for government, commercial, institutional facilities, and large scale design/build projects around the world. Each day you will serve as an expert on a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team providing mechanical engineering support and design. You should be a self-motivated professional with a successful ten years or more track-record in HVAC engineering, be a PE, have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each mechanical engineering job as well as mentoring/training less experienced staff. Alaska PE would be a plus.

Our Mechanical/HVAC Engineers:

  • Serve in a lead role providing mechanical engineering design on client projects in the areas of HVAC and plumbing; serve as a technical resource and mentor for junior staff.


  • Work on proposals and contribute to client relationships and business development efforts.


  • Perform all aspects of assignments requiring knowledge and application of engineering principles and sustainable designs.


  • Prepare engineering calculations, construction drawings, and project specifications.


  • Design HVAC and plumbing systems to be modeled by our extensive team of Designer/CAD staff, using 2D and 3D modeling as required by the client. We utilize AutoCAD, Microstation and Revit.


  • Travel to project sites to investigate site conditions and to participate in design meetings with the client.


  • Have experience with conventional design and consulting, design/build projects and/or project delivery.


  • Have design experience on Department of Defense and related projects.

  • Additional information: Must be US citizen to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

    Basic Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates will have minimum 10 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer.

  • Experience in a lead role designing HVAC Plumbing systems for facilities projects.

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

  • PE is required.
