Marketing Communications Excellence – Campaign Manager

Purpose of Role

The Marketing Communications Excellence Team is a brand new team with Paddy Power.  It is being formed to bring together Marketing Communications experts who will drive forward best practice and excellence in the Marketing communications output for all of Paddy Power online

The Campaign Manager role within the Marketing Communications team and will support Senior Marketing Communications Manager in all aspects of planning, managing and executing the communications plan across multiple business channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing communications plans across multiple online channels and business units
  • Managing the development and delivery of multiple marketing campaigns
  • Managing the relationships between all key stakeholders, including, Channel Marketing Managers and VIP Managers.
  • Leading key meetings with stakeholders, e.g. channel, design, customer analytics teams.
  • Managing the creative process from creating briefs, providing direction on messaging, copy & creative, working with either in-house design or external agencies    
  • Driving creative excellence through all the work
  • Development and continual improvement of the process and procedures for campaign execution, from briefing to the delivery of the final campaign report, to ensure efficiency
  • Managing test and learn programmes in order to optimise marketing campaigns
  • Briefing and interpreting analytics for key marketing campaigns
  • Providing  weekly and monthly updates on campaign performance
  • Management and development of at least one campaign executive

Essential Competencies

  • An in-depth understanding of online marketing and communications channels
  • Proven background in campaign management with end to end ownership
  • In-depth understanding of online marketing  and measurement
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Innovative/ creative thinker
  • Ability to write copy for multiple channels and products
  • Results driven, highly analytical and strong attention to detail
  • Technically aware, comfortable working with multiple IT systems, databases and programs.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
  • High energy, drive and a sense of fun
  • Enthusiastic and flexible working attitude
  • Ambition and drive are important.


Education & Experience

  • Degree qualified.  A degree in marketing or equivalent would be preferable
  • 3 to 4 work experience in an online company
  • Experience in gaming or sports would be advantageous but not essential
  • A proven track record in managing marketing communications programmes
