Job Summary


As part of the EMEA Alliances team, these 2 roles will primarily focus on building and executing license business with Alliance & Channel Partners across the Western Europe and DACH/CEE regions. However, as JDA is running a partnering model with multiple touch points and a variety of influence in the market, the role will also, as needed, be covering other partner types such as influence & marketing referral partners, smaller/country specific systems integrators and consultative partners.

The roles can be based out of any of JDA's European offices, with a preference for the DACH/CEE role to be based out of Munich.

Key Tasks

  • In alignment with the EMEA Alliances & Partner Strategy, build and extend the Partner network to support the JDA EMEA go to market strategy and revenue growth plans across Sales, Services and Support.
  • Analyze, search, identify, engage and build new Partners in terms of business and activities planning, sales capabilities, product knowledge and training and target setting.
  • Actively build lead generation activities with Partners to maximize market exposure and identify opportunities whilst ensuring continuous follow up and qualification of prospects/leads.
  • Build strong strategic and operational relationships with each partner.
  • Lead, coach and develop sales teams within Partners; help Partners drive sales campaigns by helping qualification of opportunities, providing reference stories, product and solution knowledge & collateral and facilitating pricing/quoting and approvals.
  • Drive pipeline and sales activities with Partners to close continuous, repeatable and predictable business through accurate forecasting in salesforce.com quarter by quarter.
  • Achieve quarterly revenue targets set by sales management.
  • Engage with Sales Leaders in the territory and align the Partner Plan with the Sales Strategy and Activities of that territory.
  • Engage actively in JDA lead opportunities, as needed, when an Account Manager AND a Partner is engaged in an opportunity. Secure the collaboration in the best interest of JDA across Sales, Services and Support.
  • Help drive generic marketing programs through the channel to maximize geographic penetration, drive net new revenue and expand market share across targeted JDA product offerings.
  • Develop, Enhance, Promote, and Measure Partner Enablement as required by JDA's Alliance Program. Working with our Partners, implement on-boarding activities that involve the delivery of product training, Alliance Connection overview, and all JDA procedures.
  • Secure and manage Partner funding for marketing programs, sales campaigns, and product development initiatives.
  • Work with JDA Marketing/Business Development/Sales teams to drive co-sponsored event participation that promotes the Partner, provides for JDA cost avoidance, and creates thought leadership opportunities to advance the brand.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships across all levels of JDA and our Alliance Community encouraging enhanced communication to drive opportunity creation that could not have previously existed within Alliance intervention.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Signirficant alliance marketing experience; Sound experience with partner or channel marketing.
  • Technology marketing experience with business application partners, resellers, OEMs, large consulting and/or global systems integration firms preferred.
  • Track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams including product management, sales and partner relationship managers
  • Able to handle assignment with minimum direction.
  • Has a track record of achieving results and is driven to achieve quality results by a set deadline.
  • Strong understanding and experience of selling through partners and through the channel, including the understanding of channel conflicts and how to work around them.
  • Understanding of the software/IT industry and specifically the applications business and the value selling approach that is needed to be successful.
  • Understands Retail/CPG or Manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, presentation and project management skills
  • Strong budget management and ROI measurement skills
  • Experience with lead nurturing tools (e.g. Eloqua, Salesforce.com) and web analytics
  • Self-starter and proven marketing innovator
  • Business fluency in English essential
  • Working knowledge of German, French, Italian or Spanish
