Eloqua has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Director, Product Marketing.  We are open to candidates based in San Francisco, CA, Boston, MA or Toronto, Canada.

This role will lead the Eloqua Product Marketing team in developing high impact messaging, go to market plans and sales tools across Eloqua’s product, services and vertical offerings.  

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this position is responsible for leading a team of 3+ Product Marketing/Industry Marketing Managers, and will play a critical role on Marketing Leadership team at Eloqua.  This position will drive product/services positioning, messaging and packaging of solutions across Eloqua’s portfolio. This person will work closely with Corporate Marketing, Content Marketing, PR/AR, Sales, Professional Services and Product Management to develop solution positioning, messaging, sales tools, and go-to-market plans, and to be a spokesperson/evangelist for both internal and external audiences.

The right person for this position will have the demonstrated ability to lead a team of product marketing managers and depth of experience in working with Field Sales & Product Management/Development teams, as well as in engaging directly with customers, media and industry analysts.  He/she will need strong business analysis skills, well-honed communication skills and a passion for marketing.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct strategic market/business analysis as needed to support product and vertical initiatives
- Understand buyers, users and influencers to inform product development, messaging, and sales/marketing approaches
- Monitor industry analysts, competitors, customers, sales engagements, etc. to identify unmet customer needs and market opportunities
- Partner with product management to document business plans, use cases, prioritize opportunities, and influence product strategy
- Engage directly with Industry Analysts and Media in evangelizing Eloqua’s product/service offerings to maximize coverage and influence.
- Define best practices enabled by Eloqua's solutions
- Define solutions areas and develop clear and compelling customer pain points, value propositions, messages, competitive differentiation, and customer success stories
- Serve as key liaison between sales team and marketing
- Develop and drive Solutions playbook initiatives that are integrated with the corporate business plan, marketing themes, product roadmap and sales strategy including targeting, messaging, solution packaging, marketing campaigns and sales enablement

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills and Experiences Required:
- Bachelor Degree required, Masters Degree preferred
- 7 -10 years of software product marketing experience
- Vertical marketing experience highly desirable
- Demonstrated skills in successfully marketing enterprise software with proven ability to add value to the sales process through marketing, sales tools, training and presentations
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide leadership, direction and set priorities for 3+ Product Marketing Managers
- Ability to develop a collaborative and engaged team, and partner well with others across Marketing, Sales and Product Management
- Detail-oriented, organized and capable of deriving meaningful information from disparate data
- Creative problem solver with ability to work independently; Focused, results-driven and strong business acumen
- Ability to travel up to approximately 25% of the time
