SUMMARY:  Supervises and coordinates the setting up, service, and cleaning of multiple Food & Beverage Outlets. Assists the Director of Banquets and Event Operations on all banquet events as needed. Responsible for training and budgetary control and special projects and duties as assigned. Maintains high quality standards in regard to food & beverage presentation, sanitation, safety and expediency of all F&B events.    

 

TASKS:·       

  • Develops accurate and aggressive long and short range financial objectives relating to beverage sales.·        Ensures good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the property, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures.       
  • Hires and conducts orientation and training of personnel to meet department responsibilities.
  • Follows procedures for opening and closing of bars, including readings and cash deposits and Snack Bar openings and closings.
  • Maintains effective cost and portion controls.    
  • Inventories all products monthly and purchases necessary supplies.       
  • Responsible for maintaining a proper perpetual, inventory control process, beverage cost, etc.
  • Assists Director of Banquets and Event Operations on all events as needed.  This includes all events whether they require alcoholic beverages or not.
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the manager. 
  • Tasks and responsibilities may be added or revised based on the volume of business and the need for the work to be completed at the present time.
  • Follows ARAMARK policies and procedures and safety and sanitation policies and procedures and insures compliance with these policies and procedures.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or overtime. Checks appearance of service personnel for compliance with uniform requirements prior to assigning work stations. Monitors all food served relative to appearance, temperature, sanitary and quality standards, and portion control.
  • Completes and posts weekly staffing schedule for areas of responsibility.
  • Provides on-the-job training for employees.
  • Meets with Food and Beverage department to coordinated assists with planning and implementing special events.

Desired Skills and Experience

 

  • Ideal candidates will possess a bachelors degree and 3-5 years of hospitality management experience.
  • The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential to success in this role. Strong organizational, time management and team development skills are required.
  • P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable
