This position is based in New York, NY; Toronto, Canada or San Bruno, CA.

The role: Advertising Research Manager

Advertising Research Managers will work with a team to produce studies that illustrate the impact of advertising and media, and advance the state of industry knowledge. You are comfortable developing and implementing our research vision, and have the research skills, analytical horsepower and business judgment to define and prioritize research projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Explore the value of Google Media Properties (Google AdWords, YouTube, Google Display Network, etc) via the execution of innovative, unique, and compelling research studies.
  • Partner with sales, product management, marketing, and advertisers to implement advertising effectiveness programs using best-in-class research techniques.
  • Develop business-relevant conclusions from research and serve as the key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Draft surveys, construct marketing tests, and/or utilize third-party research services to provide marketers and agencies with valuable insights.
  • Work with product management to advance the measure-ability of YouTube programs using the highest possible research standards.

    Minimum qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree. In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience.

    Preferred qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in related field or quantitative emphasis
  • Experience with online video as well as understanding of TV
  • Experience running studies across various media properties, including search, mobile, and/or display.
  • Experience in media planning and advertising effectiveness research; and expertise with a variety of research methodologies – particularly as it pertains to online advertising.
  • A track record executing quantitative advertising analysis with strong customer-facing, consultative expertise.
