Job description

Role Purpose:

The Finance Officer - Accounts Payable Specialist processes and validates supplier invoices and property fund related payments, and undertakes general accounting and administrative tasks.



As a Finance Officer your major accountabilities will include:

  • Prepare the coding of the suppliers’ invoices.
  • Forwarding of invoices for validation / authorisation using Basware system
  • Input or validate the suppliers’ invoices in the General Ledger (SUN).
  • Prepare or validate the payments on relevant payment system (Multiline).
  • Prepare fund invoices and fund transfer orders to send to service providers.
  • Maintain control over the invoice validation and payment process.
  • General administrative tasks.
  • Monthly report of all invoices in the workflow.
  • Invoice issuance of reimbursement notes (Fund recharges).
  • Bank reconciliations for various currencies and companies including accounting entries.
  • Customer / Supplier / Service provider queries support.
  • Participate in Month End Close process journal entries Accruals / Provisions.
  • Assist in maintaining the Seed Investments and Fixed Asset register and monthly depreciation entries.
  • Assist the Fund recharge process for expenses and out of pocket costs by raising invoices on a monthly basis.

Desired Skills and Experience

As a Finance Officer your skills, experience and qualifications will ideally include:

  • University Degree, Cycle Court or Bac+2 ideally in Accounting,
  • Excellent handling of MS Office applications
  • Excellent level of English. French and/or German language skills a plus
  • Relevant professional experience, knowledge of the Investment Funds industry and accounting principles.
  • Understanding of VAT principles for Inter EU supplies of services
  • Good excel knowledge
  • Self starter and takes initiative in problem solution
  • Task orientated
  • Knowledge of SUN/Vision accounting software a plus
  • Knowledge of banking payment systems Multiline
  • Good accounting skills;
  • Determination to succeed
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Understand the importance of quality standards to the clients;
  • Desire to provide a superior internal and external client service;
  • Be Pro-active;
  • Positive attitude when facing issues, able to work independently to achieve target deadlines;
  • Ability to act as a team player;
  • Ability to remain calm and works accurately under pressure;
  • Must be highly organized and detail / efficiency orientated;
  • Must have initiative to constantly improve the process;
