As an outside Sales Representative with IntraLinks, you will aggressively prospect, develop and manage relationships with the M&A community, generate proposals and address customer inquiries.  Working in a team environment, the Sales Representative will assist the Senior Account Executive with converting prospects into clients within a protected territory by focusing on developing leads from internal marketing campaigns, development of client and partner referrals, and becoming technically knowledgeable about all of the IntraLinks solutions. You will be highly engaged in business development.

 
About the Team

The team covering this region in North America consists of 8 experienced sales professionals.  This position will directly support a Senior Account Executive covering the busy Toronto market. 

Responsibilities

  • Aggressive prospect development through lead generation and following up on leads generated internally and from client/partner referrals.  Cold calling, scheduling web-based demonstrations, and performing professional onsite presentations to prospective clients with the Sr. Account Executive.
  • Build relationships with investment bankers, private equity professionals, corporate attorneys, and corporate development executives (M&A).
  • Qualify leads and convert to sales opportunities, identify next actions and move opportunities forward.
  • Manage new client relationships and address prospective client concerns throughout the sales process.
  • Assist with meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue targets.
  • Record accurate customer data in the CRM system. Prepare activity and forecast reports.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers, build relationships and ensure they have the tools and resources available for successful use of IntraLinks applications.  
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

 


 

 

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of successful industry related inside/outside sales experience.
  • Thorough understanding and demonstrated delivery of professional customer service.
  • Ability to work with call lists, build call lists, and generate leads. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop relationships.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook; Knowledgeable about web-based technologies.
  • Ability to travel.  Available to work evenings and weekends during client events, conferences, etc. 
  • Ability to successfully work independently and in a team environment.
  • Enjoys meeting new people, networking and building a presence.

  • CRM experience.
  • Ability to set and meet daily and weekly activity goals.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and desire to take ownership of business.
  • An understanding / interest in the M&A process.
