We are seeking talented Information Technology Professionals to join the Waste Management corporate IT team and participate in this ongoing effort.

Waste Management, Inc. currently has an opportunity for a Business Analyst for Salesforce.com CRM. Under general supervision, the Business Analyst provides technical expertise in the design, development, testing, and debugging of Salesforce.com. Individual conducts a wide range of quality-control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.

Individual conducts moderately complex business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analyses in an effort to align information technology solutions with business initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
  • Full knowledge and understanding of the Salesforce.com Sales Cloud.
  • Coordinates with users to determine business and user requirements, process flow definitions, and functional specifications.
  • Documents requirements and formulates test plans.
  • Reviews progress and evaluates results for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Acts as a liaison between technical staff and business owners.
  • Works with development staff to implement complex business processes within the Salesforce application
  • Complete configurations of the Salesforce.com applications including Workflow Rules, Standard / Custom Objects / Fields, Formulas, Page Layouts, Reporting, etc…

IV. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Required: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, MIS or similar area of study.

  • 3+ years of previous BA experience required.
  • 2+ years of functional experience with Salesforce.com

Preferred: Master's Degree.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

Preferred: Salesforce.com certification(s)

Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
  • Experience with Salesforce.com Service Cloud.
  • A proven background in bringing multiple organizations together to complete a task.
  • A proven functional/technical professional with at least 1+ full lifecycle SalesForce.com implementations and 3+ years of industry or consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in Sales Force Automation, Call Center/Service and Order Management in CRM.
  • Demonstrated experience configuring within SalesForce.com

    • Configuration and design skills are essential to this position.

  • A proven resource in assisting in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Adept at implementing technology-enabled business solutions for clients as part of a high-talent team focused over-delivering customers needs.
  • Strong technical foundation including;

    • understanding of relational database concepts and structures,
    • knowledge of (SOQL), structured object query language, system analysis and design methods, etc.
    • knowledge of APEX, Visual Force, Custom Settings and other Salesforce.com development areas.
