Job description

We are looking for an experienced, creative and motivated Producer to help develop and maintain family-friendly video content experiences to be programmed cross-platform on's network of sites. The Producer will use content curation, data analysis, and a keen understanding of the Internet zeitgeist to inform their programming decisions.

A list of responsibilities includes:
  • Partner with Senior Producer to develop, execute, and manage the video programming plans for assigned channels
  • Partner with Synergy Partners to ensure company-wide promotional goals are met
  • Partner with Business Development team to identify, secure, develop, and manage third party licensors
  • Brainstorming original, engaging ways for our guests to interact with our site, Disney characters and stories, and the Disney brand
  • Continually assessing competitive web sites and analyzing community trends in order to help distinguish our site from competitors
  • Entering content programming into a proprietary content management system on a daily basis and publishing page updates to QA and then live
  • Daily interaction with an internal staff of artists to request content and promotional assets for assigned site sections
  • Curating/moderating community feedback to generate site content ideas and provide insight back to product teams.
  • Writing site documentation (proposals, project plans, programming plans, etc)
  • Collaborating with the Analytics team to ensure site traffic and engagement reports are delivered on a regular basis, and providing insight into those reports based on day-to-day experience with programming and guest feedback
  • Working with's Revenue Operations team to ensure video content and pages are properly tagged to deliver on sold ad campaigns cross-platform
  • Understanding and conveying legal guidelines for children's web sites, such as FCC host selling, COPPA and CARU regulations
  • Coordinating site launches and/or traffic-driving events with the central teams of the Internet Group (Systems Engineering, QA, etc) to ensure optimum site performance

    Basic Qualifications
  • Experience curating content to maintain an editorial voice
  • Experienced product manager with knowledge of web site design, kids & teens online trends, technology, and production.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, managing several projects at once
  • Must be able to prioritize projects based on business and promotional goals
  • Ability to excel in a team environment with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to work closely with artists, content developers, editors, engineers, and QA testers on day-to-day production, as well as other internal staff like directors, marketing, public relations, and lawyers
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate budgets and schedules
  • Great at relationship and people management.
  • Ability to analyze, track and report traffic and performance

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years project management or website production required, with experience in kids or branded content preferred.
  • A creative background is recommended, preferably in the entertainment industry.
  • Excellent writing/editorial skills
  • A working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Working knowledge of web and mobile video players; knowledge of the YouTube platform a major plus
  • Established communication, people, presentation and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in all major aspects of website design and production, specifically a working knowledge of flash-based production, XML, online video streaming and content management systems
  • Understanding and conveying legal guidelines for children's web sites, such as FCC host selling, COPPA and CARU regulations
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Word
  • Ability to learn proprietary production and tracking tools quickly

    Required Education
    4-year college degree or equivalent with work portfolio
