Job description


  • Oversee the artistic development of a variety of print and multimedia projects.
  • Adeptly contributes to and oversees the concept, design and development of pitch presentations and concepts for new business and existing clients
  • Draws upon strong strategic thinking, and will contribute to a client's business, brand, and marketing objectives
  • Is capable of exploring new, impactful directions, and has the ability to stand behind well-conceived ideas while leveraging the views of the client
  • Strong graphic design and typography background
  • Offers versatile communication and problem solving skills, and is equally comfortable with words and visuals
  • Advocates brand and identity standards, and extracts their equity to maximum effect
  • Has experience and a working understanding of the print production process
  • Supervises design team on projects
  • Provides clear creative direction at initiation, and follows through by coaching creative team members as well as account teams, while monitoring and guiding their efforts, and investing in successful results
  • Inspires creativity, innovative thinking, and focused effort in the development of strong concepts and solutions
  • Conveys by example the mechanics and attributes of team strategy and accountability

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Wide personal frame of reference in areas of design, culture, media, and literature
  • Holds a BA+ degree in a design/communications discipline with a minimum of ten years employment in a creative position, agency experience strongly recommended
  • Possesses confident, dynamic, highly creative vision, exhibits competence in communication and interpersonal skills, and exemplifies creative agility and professionalism to staff and client
  • Understands the creative role in marketing and has the strategic understanding to combine business and aesthetic goals in developing new and effective approaches to complex design problems, turning ideas into tangible form
  • Has served three years in a supervisory capacity and exhibits strong, confident leadership and the desire to mentor subordinates, offering guidance and encouragement, individual development, and a learning environment
  • Agile with time management, and capable of advancing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards for execution, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • High level of design experience in CS5, with experience in digital, video and other creative and communications disciplines a major plus


You MUST have creative agency experience with a thorough understanding of experiential marketing
