Job Description:

Job Summary:


A Manager in the Healthcare practice will have significant responsibility for project management, client management, solution design and implementation, and generation of project results. They are responsible for working with client executives to maintain the appropriate client support and momentum. As a manager one is also responsible for mentoring the analysts and associates on the project team and helping them develop by providing necessary direction.

Job Details:


Managers in the Physician Practice Management practice have the following responsibilities:
• Provide leadership to both consulting and client personnel to identify, quantify, implement and measure specific improvement initiatives
• Lead and focus team efforts in data gathering and analysis, data interpretation, process design and formulating conclusions and recommendations.
• Lead team efforts in developing solutions to difficult or complex client situations to ensure goals and objectives are met.
• Assist in developing work plans and budgets and coordinating daily fieldwork and project team activities.
• Participate in practice management which includes tools, methodologies, recruiting, people development and proposals as appropriate.
• Conduct client interviews related to data analysis, data interpretation, and process design.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of client management, including C-suite client leadership.
• Monitor scope of client expectations surrounding delivery of generated results.
• Assist in preparation of final drafts of major reports.
• Utilize proprietary tracking tools to measure project progress, benefits provided to clients, and achievement of budget expectations.
• Effectively direct, coach, motivate and evaluate analysts and associates.
• Participate in sales pursuits resulting in 1- million of new work

Job Requirements:

Candidate Requirements:

• BS/BA degree in business or a health-related field required. A Master's degree in Business

Administration, in Health or Hospital Administration is highly preferred.

• 7+ years physician practice management/operations experience or consulting firm experience

with a client base of physician practices. A blend of physician practice management and

consulting experience related to the following areas would be ideal:

* Physician clinic or ambulatory operations.

* Multi-specialty physician practice involving 100+ physicians

* Preparing for and negotiating payer contracts (preferred).

* Working with physicians to increase physician productivity, performance benchmarking

and, preferably, some knowledge in physician compensation. Note: revenue cycle (billing,

coding, collections, etc) experience by itself is not sufficient.

• Project Management experience, including creating work plans, budgets, managing budget

to actual, goal setting/benchmarks and delivering on client expectations.
• Experience supervising project teams and co-workers, and ability to coach and mentor staff.
• Ability to actively manage and deliver on client expectations around project activities, timelines,

deliverables outcomes, etc.
• Ability to provide targeted communication, both verbal and written, to internal and external

constituents.
• Proven analytical and process redesign skills, including problem solving, quantitative reasoning,

workflow process, etc.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of professionals and personalities in a team environment.
• Possess the following skill sets:
o detailed oriented
o solid written and documentation skills
o excellent interpersonal, verbal communication and presentation skills
o ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
o desire to do meaningful work and make a difference
Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook.




Ability to make the following minimum travel commitment: Monday - Thursday on-site at client location/Friday home office. As such, our consultants can live anywhere in the lower 48 states as long as they are near a major airport.
