Senior level management position responsible for Information Technology enterprise network and data center infrastructure strategy and planning which supports over 7500 employees and millions of volunteers. Responsible for directing the design, maintenance, and support of enterprise infrastructure ensuring high reliability and performance through development cost efficient support and monitoring structures. Responsible for leading the establishment of a Infrastructure consolidation strategic plan focusing on improving infrastructure reliability, performance, and decreasing the total cost to support. Responsible for directing that all enterprise infrastructure is compliant with IT security standards. Responsible for achieving infrastructure standardization that is in alignment with IT strategic vision and architecture standards.  Responsible for leading the development of strategic business and technology standards and processes to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained.


Operates under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Leads the development of a strategic plan which ensures IT infrastructure is aligned with business and customer needs.
  • Directs the design of enterprise infrastructure that is agile & robust in meeting evolving business application requirements while maintaining competitive cost structures.
  • Leads the partnership with all clients and colleagues to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction for all deployed infrastructure.
  • Leads the development of a system/process which provides early recognition of system performance trends and ensures that information is utilized to drive improvements to quality of service or cost performance.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to consolidate IT infrastructure to improve reliability, and performance, while decreasing the cost of support.
  • Establish and maintains effective cross functional relationships within the IT organization to ensure that desktop standards are properly aligned with business plans and customer needs.
  • Leads the application of innovative technology solutions in support of evolving business needs.
  • Oversee a non-disruptive integration of new technology standards.
  • Manage the development of all infrastructure disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Directs the management and design data centers including but not limited to environment, support and security processes, and staffing.
  • Leads the development and negotiation of enterprise service level agreements for infrastructure systems to meet the requirements for business owners and end users.
  • Directs the development of change management and communication processes consistent with IT change management guidelines.
  • Oversee enterprise standardization project management initiatives that provide quality execution, meet time commitments, and are within budget.
  • Provide inspiration and leadership to staff and demonstrate the characteristics of a leader; earn respect from the entire team and mutually respect the individual team members.
  • Define core competencies and execution plans to improve the team, leading change management activities to create a single foundation upon which to develop the culture, and establish clear metrics for performance evaluation.
  • Partner with senior leadership to establish service level commitments for IT support. Measure service delivery to ensure that the agreed-upon targets are consistently met.



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10 to 15 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management. Significant experience in all infrastructure areas including data center, network operations and communications.



  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Demonstrated project and program management knowledge specific to enterprise-wide infrastructure initiatives
  • Ability to analyze alternatives and implement systems which are responsive to organizations requirements.
  • Furnish top-level advice and consultation concerning policy and security implications for enterprise infrastructure.
  • Ability to effectively hire, organize, direct, evaluate and retain a professional staff in the development, implementation and operation of business technology systems.
  • Ability to oversee multiple technology initiatives.
  • Excellent, consulting, communication and organization skills.
