Job description

This position will suit an existing Technical Architect who has EMC experience and desire to move into a Technical Sales role with a significant earnings opportunity in a fast growing company based at our new offices opening in Manchester, Reciprocal have a unique solution to the data migration challenges of certain EMC customers. The solution to this challenge involves a relatively technical sale and is best suited to someone with a technical background.


The role will require you to work closely with the sales team and to provide technical expertise and documentation. This role will involve technical consultancy with clients, often in a board room environment. This position requires an in depth knowledge of the Data Storage market and Virtualisation experience as well as a good general knowledge of IT. 


EMC work closely with Reciprocal and we believe it will be relatively simple for this Technical Sales Specialist to make progress in these accounts and to start by discussing the client’s strategy for archival and compliant data retention. When we have demonstrated our capability in this specialist area to the client we believe they will want to discuss other requirements and projects with Reciprocal as well.  We are confident that this approach can work well as calling on these accounts in this way is a much warmer approach than basic cold calling. We are looking for a self motivated, hardworking team player who will share the ambitions of the company.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years' as a Pre-sales Technical Consultant with EMC experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the Data Storage market and good general IT knowledge
  • Experience of designing virtualised solutions
  • Experience with technical design & documentation
  • Previous client facing experience
  • Good presentation skills


Required Knowledge

  • Storage systems – Fibre channel/iSCSI SANs, NAS
  • VM Ware & Virtualisation
  • Microsoft Core Infrastructure stack
  • DR and Back-up best practise
  • Routing and switching
  • Backup Software
